GPD has now revealed full specs for the Duo, its first attempt at building a twin-display laptop. Not only does the GPD Duo feature a pair of OLED displays, but it also packs an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U GPU, an 80 Wh battery and more ports than the average laptop. GPD has integrated other features, too like an OCuLink port for connecting an eGPU to improve gaming performance.

Its insane that small manufactuers like GPD can make products like this and big companies like Dell/Asus/HP/Lenovo/Razer cant make a simple high performance machine like this but in proper laptop form....

So true, except they can make them, they just have shiz designers.
As an illustrator, I had a surfacebook, but couldn't use the lush 6mp pro display or pen with the power of my desktop... why? GPD and Minisforum have multiple devices supporting video input for using laptops/tablets as input devices for desktops.

I shouldn't have to send money to companies in communist china to get features that could've been standard 15yrs ago, or just to get an AMD powered pro tablet. Intel have been a joke in the ulv space (all spaces really) since ryzen 4000(1065g7 v 4800u was just sad), but we're nearly at RY9000 and the only place I can get an AMD surface Pro like device, or one with DPinput is a CCP indiegogo campaign?!

If I meet the lead designers or product execs of Dell, Lenovo or microsoft... imma ask for a job... then slap'em silly!

I suspect the issue is companies obsession with Apple's "people don't need choices, it just works" they seem to have abandoned the idea of utility. Removing mouse buttons, setting options,  etc, but to people who do ACTUAL work, this is infuriating. But, if the Chinese can do anything.... its utility!

Umm

Erm, you do realise that lenovo is also Chinese right? Or are you saying you'd like to work under CCP company as a designer?
