A slight indication that Sony might actually release the Xperia 1 VI smartphone in the US has recently turned up. The flagship device was launched in May, with pre-orders already open in markets such as the UK with delivery expected in June. However, at the time it was reported that there would be no US release for the Sony Xperia 1 VI.

Sony phones are slowly falling into irrelevance. They have been for at least ten years. Sony used to be one of the pioneers and now it's probably worse than Xiaomi.

Come on you Japanese wageslaves. Release a smaller phone with a micro-HDMI port, a proper walkie-talkie, a removable battery. Stuff of that kind. Stop pretending that it's all about camera. Because it's not.

Still won't cover most 5G US bands and VoWFi. Been through 3 Xperia. All good experiences but not having support of the best 5G is a showstopper now. Looking at other brands for the next upgrade

methods

Im hoping this happens so we can get more bands in the US, I was going to pay the extra to find a freight forwarding service to import a pre-order from the UK to the US, but if this is true then I can just buy it domestically. I cant imagine buying any other device on the market today given how bland every other phone is. I will be buying an Xperia flagship for every phone going forth regardless of cost and method to obtain it.
