AnTuTu has published its latest performance lists, consisting of the top 10 flagship and mid-range phones that performed the best throughout April. Like last month, the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 dominates the new flagship list. The first phone on the list with MediaTek Dimensity 9300, on the other hand, has the fifth spot. As for the mid-range list, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is still going strong.

The fierce competition between Qualcomm snapdragon and Media Tek dimensity is good for loyalist of both SoC chip manufacturers as it forces both companies to outdo each other in features and power while making their prices manageable for customers. Currently the fierce competition between 8 gen 3 vs dimensity 9300 is going well and before the end of 2024 both companies will up the ante when both companies will switch to the smaller 3nm process node when 8 gen 4 and dimensity 9400 are introduced.

All that desktop-grade firepower, yet most Android OEMs still don't use Desktop Mode well. At this point, USB3 with wired video out should be a mandatory feature for future Android smartphones. There's absolutely no reason why we can't use modern smartphones as a PC.
