The developers of these systems think that they are clean, but their hands are also up to their elbows in blood, because they allowed their bosses the possibility of these false declarations, thanks to which people died because of the morons who believed in this scam.

And I wrote that all this would turn into a huge fiasco back in 2015, but the sheep laughed at me on some forums..

How many people have died in Tesla Autopilot related incidents? Last I heard, the NHTSA was investigating around 44 crashes where 23 people died.

If you consider that "up to their elbows in blood", then presumably you'll be demanding the immediate ripping out of all elevators from every building in the country, seeing as they contribute to approximately 30 fatalities in the US every year.

It's hard to think of anything so absurdly marginal that's motivated such scaremongering and FUD, to the extent surrounding Autopilot.

It's an OPTIONAL feature. You don't have to use it. If you do, the responsibility is on you to understand the potential dangers and liabilities, where they exist and take appropriate precautions.

Anything outside of that is unfortunately Darwinism in action.

So stupid, people on the phones while they ride, but they are afraid of this improvement.
Lot's of weird things with Canada laws anyway, wonder whats going on there.

As if Tesla has any secrets that other companies want to steal.  Tesla autonomous driving is 2nd rate to Huawei's own solutions.  Why would anyone including Huawei want to steal 2nd rate crap secrets from Tesla?

Your cynical hint is understandable. One life is a murder. 23 is already a statistic...

It is indeed a technical marvel what Tesla has implemented in autonomous driving sphere. But I think that Musk himself if to blame for over-hyping his tech to the moon and back.
In this specific case Autopilot was involved and not FSD. Ant it is just a glorified lane keep assist. The driver was fully at fault for this accident. He himself previously reported that autopilot struggled with that specific spot.
But musk hyped his non-existent FSD so much that actual lawmakers believed that it actually existed. And that it sucked because there were many preventable crashes. There was an argument to be made that drivers needed to prevent those crashes by paying attention. But the lack of strong incentive from Tesla to force drivers to pay attention was what caused this mistrust.
So Must screwed this for the rest of the industry since eventually level 3 automation was banned. And it does not even exist/not delivered.

The developers of this "autopilot" (and others like it) knew very well that it could not be advertised in the criminal manner in which Musk and other interested beneficiaries lied. But they remained silent, defending the honor of their uniform and their jobs. Thus, automatically killing yourself in the blood of the victims. Most people don't understand this because they have no moral compass in their heads at all, other than a cynical thirst for profit and personal comfort.
