Twitter rebrand to X is officially underway, new bird-free logo revealed

Elon Musk has announced that the site heretofore known as Twitter will "bid adieu" to its former brand identity, iconic blue bird avatar included. Company CEO Linda Yaccarino has touted the announcement as a pivotal stage in the social media platform's evolution into an "everything app" that integrates payments as well as multimedia messaging.

It's stupid.  Take something so easily recognizable and a cool concept (bird tweeting out in the open).  Then replace with obscure X.  What is it? An X-box, X-ray, X-men?

I agree the first poster, the name change is uncalled for, and sounds like a pornography and propaganda website, and sounds like what a insanely rich dude who derides paying his fair tax share with the rest of us and with 3 known wives and 10 known kids would think is "X is cool".
