Mit dem Motorola Defy Satellite Link können auch ältere Android-Smartphones und Apple iPhones Nachrichten über Satelliten-Netzwerke verschicken und empfangen, und Notrufe senden, auch außerhalb des Mobilfunknetzes. Das Gadget kommt in Deutschland, in Österreich und in der Schweiz im Juli auf den Markt.
