Agree with Marcel. I have had my N56V for pretty much the same amount of time. I also replaced the HDD with an SSD, and upped the RAM from 8 to 16Gb. Apart from that it has been with me all over the world and works just fine. It has been excellent running Cubase and lots of virtual instruments and effects during my sound production career. Also, working from home for my day job? No problem at all. I love this thing :)

I keep being tempted to get something new after all these years. But still struggle to justify the expense when this machine still does all I need.

Makes me think about how much computer hardware is thrown out for incremental improvements, when this old laptop still does the job very well.
