"Simulated" RX 7800 XT outperforms RTX 4070 by up to 14% at 4K in gaming tests of the Radeon Pro W7800

The RX 7800 XT is rumored to be using a fully-enabled Navi 32 GPU that potentially allows the GPU to perform better than the RTX 4070. Igor's Lab has tested a Radeon Pro W7800 under certain conditions to simulate the RX 7800 XT. The results depict the RX 7800 XT to be 14% faster on average vs the RTX 4070 at 4K.

If the 7800XT performs this badly in real life, it will be a epic failure of AMD.To see it barely beat out a 6800/6900XT is beyond belief. This will be marketed as a 4070 competitor, yet last gen the 6800XT was a 3080 competitor. We have already lost a tier of performance but not price.
