Hyundai and Lexus may now qualify, though, as the Treasury Department finally released the EV battery tax credit eligibility requirements that will be used to determine which electric car will get government subsidy. The guidelines reiterate the original battery material sourcing and component points, and the base Tesla Model 3 will only qualify until April 18.
