Hello.
Reviews on this site are very helpful, but one very important section looks a bit misleading and not easily comparable - PWM test.
It only says about frequency, but not about how to read graphs and difference between min/max brightness like on videos on youtube where it is measured with radex.
I compare s23 PWM review with s21:
s21:
The panel relies on pulse width modulation (PWM) for brightness control, which works in a low frequency range of up to a maximum of 245.1 Hz at display brightness levels below 99%. This can be bothersome for users with sensitive eyes.
s23:
Like all OLEDs, that of the S23 also flickers. This occurs at a very constant 120 Hz at minimum brightness. The luminosity increases a little (> 3%) and becomes a constant 240 Hz with a very even cycle curve. This indicates permanent DC dimming and should be easy on the eyes. No temporal dithering was detected.
So it seems that it states the same, but with different conclusion about eyes strain.
Moreover, if to look at graphs, it seems that galaxy s22 do the job much much better for brightness >= 75% than galaxy s23.
Could you expand PWM section and make it more comparable between reviews?
Thanks,
Sergey.
