The BenQ TH690ST short throw projector is available in Europe. The device has several features aimed at gamers, such as an 8.3 ms response time at 1080p 120 Hz resolution. The gadget also supports 4K at 60 Hz, and a Game Mode enhances the image based on ambient lighting. The light source can last up to 20,000 hours with a peak brightness of 2,300 lumens.

I'm a little confused - how does it do 4K@60Hz if its native resolution is 1080p?

Are we saying it can process a 4K image and downscale it to 1080p@60Hz, or that it uses XPR to achieve a "native" 4K resolution - in which case, isn't its native resolution 4K?

It's definitely not a 4K output. It's too cheap for that and it's also overpriced for a 1080p projector. That's some marketing bullsh*t to confuse people

They get 4K using pixel shifting technology which is what most 4K projectors use today. It projects 4 1080pm images to build a 4K image.
