According to the data revealed by the company's preliminary earnings guidance, Samsung Electronics' operating profit took a nearly 32 percent dive in the third quarter, the first time it dropped in the last three years. This was most likely caused by the low demand for memory chips and came alongside a less than 3 percent revenue increase.

They are losing profit because they removed their best flagship phone & tried ro merge it into an inferior series & chose to leave the "Note" name out of it AND dropped the option of having 1 terabyte storage units in their phones unless you ate forced to buy them straight from Samsung instead of going through your carrier. I told them almost a year ago that doing these things would result in millions lost by the end of this year & as they sat around scratching their heads wondering why profits dropped they should think more about what their customers want instead of trying to force us to settle with their failed ideas. Because of this, Apple is stomping their asses this year as well !!!
