Apple is further strengthening the security of its devices against state-sponsored spyware programs with the introduction of the new "Lockdown Mode". The company is marketing the feature as an "extreme, optional protection" for people that fear targeted cyberattacks. The feature seems like a direct response to the fiasco caused by the infamous Pegasus spyware.
