The FBI has cautioned individuals who use QR codes to exercise vigilance when making payments or entering sensitive personal information. Cybercriminals are tampering with legitimate QR codes to create malicious codes that redirect victims to phishing websites where malware can infect their devices and steal their credentials and banking information.
