Control: Ultimate Edition runs at 1440p/30 FPS on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X: ray-tracing might flatline graphics progress this generation

The Demon's Souls remake on PlayStation 5 stands head and shoulders above just about any ray-traced title on Sony's console. Bluepoint prioritized assets over unnecessary RT effects and the results speak for themselves. Performance does, too, with the game running at a native 4K/30.

If you think 30 FPS with a 1440p resolution that's upscaled to 4K through the old and dated checkerboard process is head and shoulders better than anyone else I think you need better priorities for gaming. Either that or you really don't know what an amazing graphical fidelity looks like. Imagine if you had native 4K 60FPS or bare minimum 1440p with 60+FPS! That's the true greatness console gaming should strive for and what I would call head and shoulders better.
