Schenker XMG Core 15 (Tongfang GK5NR0O) Laptop Review: AMD gamer with a good price-performance ratio

The configuration we tested costs less than 1500 Euros (~$1745) and is equipped with a powerful Ryzen 7 4800H, an Nvidia RTX 2060, a good IPS display, and a fast SSD. So what's the catch? There really isn't one, even though the XMG Core 15 is far from doing everything right. Particularly the powerful Ryzen improves our subjective impression. Not bad! I'd buy one if it came with a better display. More pixels (about 220 ppi seems reasonable), 16:10 (there seems to be space reserved for that in the display case), higher brightness and more colourspace coverage so you can do stuff other than gaming too. Happy to pay extra for that.

Still good! It has an actually good screen (f*** asus TUF), decent cooling (f*** dell g5 s*** edition and ASUS TUF), RTX 2060 (f*** lenovo legion) and decent build quality

You didn't mention the Eluktronics RP-15 (identical OEM Tongfeng device, just equipped with the smaller battery option) that was reviewed by Allen Ngo on 05/28/2020 ( Can't post the link but its notebookcheck dot net / Eluktronics-RP-15-Laptop-Review-The-Ryzen-7-4800H-Impresses-Yet-Again.466470.0.html).

Interesting, the difference in gaming performance (Schenker is ~10% slower across the board) but also the different conclusions the different NBC authors come to for an identical device...
