Quotethe Pixel 5 will have a 6.0-inch display, 0.3-inches larger than the one in the Pixel 4 and 0.3-inches smaller than the 6.3-inch screen of the Pixel 4 XL.
Quotean aspect ratio of 19.5:9
Pixel 4 has a 5.7" 19.9 display compared to Pixel 5's 6.0" 19.5. Pixel 4's screen size is ~12.5 in
2 (excluding the round corners), Pixel 5's screen size is ~13.7 in
2 (excluding the round corners). Take 13.7/12.57 ~ 1.089 so that means that Pixel 5's screen is actually almost 9% bigger in size compared to Pixel 4, it is not 0.3" bigger or whatever you said. The diagonal length of a screen is not the only thing that determines the screen's size, there is no such thing as " 0.3" bigger screen ", you compare areas, not diagonal lengths.
If we would compare only the diagonals, 6/5.7 = 1.052 which means that the diagonal length of Pixel 5's screen is for ~ 5% longer than Pixel 4 sceen's diagonal. 5% longer screen diagonal is not the same as ~8.9% screen size. You might mistakenly write that Pixel 5's screen is 5% bigger that Pixel 4's but that's not true, it is for almost 9% bigger.
