A Redmi Note 7S owner has reported a fault with his device that he believes caused it to explode. The user claimed that the smartphone was treated in a normal manner and wasn't even charging when it caught on fire. However, after a thorough examination of the melted handset, Xiaomi has concluded it was caused by "customer induced damage".

If its not blowing up left and right like with the Samsung Note 7 devices, then likely it is due to misuse.

Yes, the manufacturer have to do what they can do minimize hazard, but these are consumer devices, not something to be used by soldiers in front lines.

And how can we trust this customer anyway? This is why they do internal investigation, because some people lie just to extort something from the company.
