Yeah, I think the % rating system here is broken, if you want to know whether to buy the laptop or not read the whole review and know what you're looking for in terms of performance/noise/temperatures.  They're good reviews, but the rating system is broken and not a reliable means to decide on whether the laptop is worthy of purchase.
haha i just said something similar in a dell-ryzen thread. nice to see a colleague.

Please change your rating system...
90% for a laptop that gets insanely hot and that still suffers from the same issues as back in 2015-2016...
The keyboard is spongy, the laptop gets hot and underperforms relative to other laptops, due to sourcing you could get a sluggish SSD, there are many reviews about huge FPS drops during gaming due to the thermally limited chassis, the speakers are still at the bottom of the laptop, huge power draw during sleep mode, only the core i9 gets decent heat pipes - which is just plain stupid as the core i7 needs it too,...

Can anybody recommend a good laptop with i7 8th gen, 16GB RAM, 4GB VRAM, fast SSD, excellent display for graphics.

without price range this request has no answer.

In your review you infer that XPS 15 7590 is using the GTX 1650 graphics card. I have this system and can not configure it to exclusively use the GTX card over the i9-9980HK internal 630 graphics. Therefore I do not believe your graphics benchmarks are correctly representing the GTX 1650 card they are representing the 630 GPU.
My biggest beef with this system is that it also cannot run any external monitors at 4K @ 60Hz. I was expecting to run 2 4K monitors, Not! The best I can tell the 630 GPU does not support 2x 4K @ 60Hz configuration. I know the GTX 1650 can. :o

They dont care, I said similar thing in last 'review' of macbook pro 15(i9):
-i9 slower than i7✔
-loud as jet ✔
-very hot under load  ✔
-no ports whatsoever ✔
-garbage keyboard  ✔
Overall note? 91%, with XPS same thing. It is throttling heavily, have as every XPS laptop many issues, still 90% is minimum!

#19 UHD 630 should easily output 2 x 4k monitor setup. Maybe you should reinstall drivers?

Would you guys recommend buying XPS 7590 with just Intel graphics (no dGPU) and i7 cpu for work? I'm not going to play games on it but will the problems be less without dGPU and when i7 (or even i5) CPU is used?

Hey,

Be careful, that Benchmark results seem to be incorrect in this article.
The sawtooth form of power consumption curve in Prime95 and 1.8-2.7 GHz frequency oscillation is a result of incorrect Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework driver operation. You need to remove latest Driver (A03) and install previous version 8.1.10605.221, A02 from Dell Site. Then the power consumption will be stabilized and processor will run at 95-99 degree continuously without sudden throttling, thus resulting in stable 3.1-3.2GHz for this machine.

Looking for the review of Dell XPS 15 7590 (i7-9750H, GTX 1650, 15.6" 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) , Touch IPS 100% Adobe RGB 500-Nits display), thanks.

Are we ever going to see reviews of the other SKUs of this device? I'd love to see a review of the model with the 9750h and 4k non-OLED display.
