The non-5G Kirin 990 SoC powering the Mate 30 Pro holds its own against all Snapdragon-855-powered handhelds and is almost on par with Apple's iPhone 11 models, but it is slightly slower than the Snapdragon 855+ flagships. With higher clocks and a more powerful NPU, the 5G variant of the Kirin 990 is expected to match the Snapdragon 855+ SoC.

Are these done with the same version of AnTuTu? E.g. ROG2 gets 469k in v8 but only 396k in v7, and I am not sure if v8 is available for iOS. If the A13 benchmark is v7 the iPhone 11 is still ahead of the ROG2 by 15% (and even more ahead of the Mate 30).

I trust Geekbench+3DMark over Antutu.

That setup is OK for laptops and desktops, but probably not that great for smartphone SoCs.

GSMArena specifies that all the results are obtained with V8, but not sure if that's a public release since I can't find it on the official site.

What? These two are always among Anandtech's test suite for smartphones.
