The ThinkPad P16s Gen 4 and ThinkPad P14s are now official. Both come with AMD Ryzen AI Pro 300 series CPUs, support up to 96 GB of DDR5 RAM and come with optional 5G connectivity. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkPad-P16s-Gen-4-and-ThinkPad-P14s-Gen-6-unveiled-with-new-AMD-Ryzen-Pro-CPUs.1003324.0.html
Meh. They need to offer the halo version. But maybe they'll surprise and make a halo ThinkPad 13" convertible touch OLED with 96gb strix halo. One can dream.

Nah, that's a consumer laptop. We need P14s AMD + nvidia quadro gpu for engineering work.
Surprised they are retaining two very different design languages for their P14s by keeping the 14.5" IPS panel and aluminum/plastic chassis exclusive to the intel variant.

It would be a laptop with up to 96gb of 250gb/s unified RAM, compared to a Quadro which has faster RAM but at most 1/4 the quantity. Different use case but a different league than the article model. But if you'd rather this one, it's yours.
2025 P16s mobile workstation with iGPU worse than in old 7840u/8840u Ryzens and only single fan. No Strix Point with Radeon RX8060S is a joke.
Also Lenovo cuts OLED brigthness in spec from 500 to 400 nits and magnesium keyboard frame is missing in most sources (now they declare plastic).
There is no "Strix Point" with the Radeon 8060S. You are talking about Strix Halo.
Also, the Radeon 890M is certainly not worse than the Radeon 780M of the 7840U/8840U.
The magnesium frame underneath the keyboard is still there. This is just a refresh of the T16 Gen 3, so no big design changes like that.
Thank you for clarification. Yes I mean Strix Halo like in HP Ultra G1a laptop but it require redesign of P16s (cooling/chassis/board). However maybe from the pricing (marketing) point of view decision was right (I am not sure if RAM is integrated within chip structure or soldered on mainboard but possibly first option make cost so extreme up to $8000).
Regarding iGPUs I mean these units in new T16 Gen 4 with Strix Point. Maybe in Strix Halo (P16s) has slightly better unit like you mentioned.
Regarding T16 Gen 4 PSREF like you mentioned luckily ,,90% recycled magnesium on keyboard frame cover" is on the list (website and pdf). Maybe Indonesian website has different market requirements and that is why is missing.
I hope you will test new 16" HP Elitebook soon (it seems they added second fan for 28W Intel 2xxH CPUs). However I do not get why they still offer NVIDIA A500 in Zbook 8 G1i assuming that Intel Arc 130/140T iGPUs are improved.

The A500 is for Engineering applications where the Arc and its drivers are not optimized for.
