If you're still on the hunt for a new game to enjoy over the Easter holidays, you can keep your wallet tucked away for now. The space simulator Star Citizen is currently free to play, likely for about a week.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Free-takeoff-Sci-Fi-simulation-with-MMO-elements-free-to-play-for-a-limited-time.1000964.0.html
I tried this last time it had a free fly event and it is completely unplayable. I had 6 game breaking bugs in the first 10 minutes of playing. After fighting the game's bugs for an hour or so I finally got into my ship and managed to kind of finish the tutorial. I accepted my first mission, took off, flew to the other side of the planet, landed, exited and found my mission marker but there was nothing at the end and therefore couldn't progress the mission. All this after downloading the game which was 100+ gb and fighting bugs. If this game ever becomes playable it could be massive but at the moment I have absolutely no hopes for this steaming pile of garbage.
So yes it's a alpha an it does tend to have bugs but they do work an patch these bugs up fairly quickly.. but then they include more things in the game more bugs come with it an that's what a alpha unreleased game is but above all that this game is amazing you will never find anything like it .. it's like gta in space an has tons of fun things to do with ya friends I've invested in 2 flight sticks an pedals for the emersion an I regret nothing.. at times it fan be frustrating but I put up with it cause I want to see this game finish I know it'll be 1 of the greatest games ever made an i plan on sticking with it til the end so I encourage every 1 to try it for them selves an not let salty reviews ruin something that could be fun for you or right up your alley - daddywarbux
Before you get into this game, google it and read the wiki. There is some talk that this game is one of the most highly invested cases of vaporware to date, with backers seeking refunds to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars, and release date that hasn't materialised in its decade-plus long history. Choose caution and make your own decision before getting hooked into anything, and make sure you read the terms and conditions of signing up, even for free.
