Could you ask Nanoleaf to add HDR support?
I'm trying to think how HDR support would matter? As far as I can tell, you can play games with HDR on, and it screen mirrors the visuals properly. It's not like an HDMI sync box which might not be compatible with certain signals.
However, things like Netflix may not properly work with the Nanoleaf kit because of copy protection.

Oh, thank you for getting back to me; if you've tried HDR and it works fine then I guess no problem, I saw a Youtube comment saying it causes lag from the app and older products that do the same
I guess otherwise the only thing to want as an extra is that it changes brightness based on the HDR (edge) brightness
