HiNa, one of the sodium-ion battery chemistry pioneers, released its newest EV product dubbed the Haixing cell at a press event held on March 28. The sodium-ion batteries in the series are available in four different versions, with energy density closing in on LFP cells.https://www.notebookcheck.net/New-sodium-ion-battery-for-commercial-electric-vehicles-charges-faster-and-offers-LFP-energy-density.989199.0.html
That is impressive news!
Well color me impressed. LFPs reach up to 160 Wh/kg on the top end. So this is a significant milestone for this tech. This bodes well for cheaper EVs.
