Ngl, I might have to pick up one of these if Asus disappoints or the XMG's battery life is as bad as an early test would suggest.

Actually, seems that it's a huge step in right direction of energoefficiency. It also does not take huge penalty in silent mode!
42dB of Silent mode seems a real deal for real life usage.
