Title: Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra review - The AI phone relies fully on artificial intelligence and small hardware upgrades
Post by: Redaktion on February 28, 2025, 14:42:03
On its datasheet, the changes are only minimal. In addition to a new Snapdragon processor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra features a new ultra-wide-angle lens, and AI agents have been added to Galaxy AI. Our review will clarify whether this was enough for the phone to climb to the top position in our test.

This is a great new Ultra, because I see no reasons to upgrade from my S23U. Especially comparing performance stability and battery life (it's 5% worse!). Maybe I like flat display more, but I'm not crazy to pay around 1000 euro for that change LoL

Automatic brightness by Vision Booster is great. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra 2320 lux, S24 Ultra 2250 lux. Manual setting 1270 (S25U) and 1180 lux (S24U).

Unfortunately there is a known problem with the Bluetooth connectivity.  It appears to be a software issue that may not be on all S25 Ultra. It happens when multiple devices are connected by Bluetooth.  My determination is when I am connected to Android Auto and then disconnected.  Although my phone shows connected to my other devices (watch and hearing aids) they are not.  This occurs when connected to multiple cars so it isn't my car or any missing updates.  Replacing the motherboard did allow the phone to work but not additional devices.

Imma b honest none of the top phones are of any real interest to me simply due to that fact that they all kinda do the same thing... Asus & Sony phones on the other hand are actually doing things different imo.

One thing that keeps me with Samsung is DeX. Being able to connect my phone to portable display or Xreal glasses and be productive or watch movies - is awesome experience during the travel. Or connect my phone to a friend's TV to show photos on big screen.
I would try Sony if it had DeX. I miss headphone jack. And SD card - not because of a lack of storage, but because sometimes I need to access files from an SD card.
