EcoFlow customers recently voiced concerns following reports of a new paywall for some PowerStream app features. The company has now issued a statement in an attempt to clarify the situation. In the post, EcoFlow confirms that it is testing new paid-for features but suggests that many users would remain unaffected.

Shame, they otherwise make a decent product. Once companies start dipping their toes in subscription features it usually doesn't take long.

EcoFlow uses low cost, high frequency ,transformerless inverter tech instead it's products that offers a shorter life expectancy, a poorer surge capacity, and because it provides any galvanic isolation, it can easily damage your appliances when its MOSFETs fail. No thanks.
