Title: Tesla will eat the HW3 computer upgrade costs of those who bought FSD to make unsupervised driving work on older vehicles

Tesla may not be able to make FSD 13 or FSD 14 run as it should on its older vehicles with Hardware 3.0 computers, and will be incurring upgrade costs.

Now I wonder when they'll do it. As late as possible, so that some people upgrade to a newer car themselves or don't have the car any longer or will they do it this year?

I keep reading these articles and everyone is saying it will be free? Yet the statement made was "HW3 cars will need HW4 and it's going to hard and painful but we will get it done." I did not hear Elon say it was free or Tesla would cover the exchange. They may make it an available option the owner would have to buy. Elon may be happy there aren't that many people that bought FSD so they will not need to make as many units the consumer would need to buy.
