According to a recent post on PCGH, the RTX 50-series gaming GPUs, including and especially the flagship RTX 5090, will witness limited supply at launch, at least in Germany. A select few retailers at the higher rungs of Nvidia's tiered structure will get inventory first, with the rest following only much later.https://www.notebookcheck.net/GeForce-RTX-5090-and-RTX-5080-rumored-to-face-extremely-limited-stocks-in-Germany.949168.0.html
Nvidia's strategy:
1) Make a product €1000 too expensive.
2) Limit supply to 1 item per country.
3) Boast "sold out immediately".
4) Make the world believe of the utmost demand that cannot be met by fast enough production.
5) Double the price and repeat.

"Needless to say, the maximum number of units per customer will be limited to one."
The best prosumer customers would do a new build with 2 to 8 top GPUs. By limiting to 1 GPU, they do not build at all. Brilliantly stupid strategy of Nvidia.
