The newly developed battery is designed to be lighter, have a longer lifespan, and offer higher performance. Additionally, two new components could reduce the costs of energy storages and even enhance their safety.

OK, great. Where can I buy one?
EOS Energy is already manufacturing modular aqueous zinc batteries in Pittsburg PA that are designed for commercial scale & micro grid battery electric storage systems (BESS), although not in vehicles. Unlike Lithium BESS, they don't require air conditioning or fire supression Systems. EOS just got a loan commitment from the US DOE to expand their production capacity. Existing Lithium BESS batteries might eventually be recycled for vehicular use, due to lighter weight.
If I recall correctly, the issue with the EOS technology was round trip efficiency, which was a lot below lithium ion.
Would be interesting to know if they have solved that issue.
