Title: Acer Predator Helios Neo 14 (2024) review: The portable RTX 4070 laptop with long runtimes
Post by: Redaktion on August 15, 2024, 00:39:11
The compact Predator Helios Neo 14 aims to attract creatives and gamers. The right prerequisites are in place: a Core Ultra 9 185H, GeForce RTX 4070, 32 GB of RAM, a 14.5-inch panel (3k, sRGB, 165 Hz, G-Sync) with a 16:10 aspect ratio, Thunderbolt 4. Adding to this is a good battery life.

That's an interesting interpretation of "long runtimes".

95% is not 100% sRGB compliant.

Yuck, another 14 incher ruined by overly high resolution, and slightly less so with 16:10, but at least there's no OLED to accidentally leave screen on with static parts for long time and burning it in, as well as nightmarish replacement prices.

Screen is fine, it's ruined by GPU.

Power limits tables have no sense because x86 fakes everything and in battery load test laptop was running at 45 watts whole system.
