Nissan is working on paint with metamaterial tech to reduce vehicle cabin temperatures. The new paint was demonstrated via a year-long trial and could contribute to higher fuel efficiency, or in EVs case, extended battery life. Tests confirm up to a 12-degree Celsius reduction in exterior temperature and up to a 5-degree Celsius cooler interior. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Nissan-s-experimental-cool-paint-achieves-up-to-12-C-exterior-and-5-C-interior-car-temperature-reduction.874375.0.html
This is great stuff. Toyota needs to adopt this on their white cars.
"Thick" "clear" top coat is what I like to hear. Moderns cars always have the thinnest paint.
