Title: Why do ThinkPads have blue enter key?
Post by: SalabhBhamri on August 09, 2024, 13:10:57
"Can you provide a detailed history of the blue Enter key found on older ThinkPad keyboards? I'm interested in learning about its origin, the reasons behind its design choice, and how it has evolved or been phased out over time."

The blue Enter key emerged on ThinkPads around the T30 model, likely as a nod to IBM's "Big Blue" identity. While its exact design purpose remains unclear, it became a distinctive feature. Over time, as Lenovo acquired ThinkPad, the blue Enter key was phased out in favor of a more uniform black design, aligning with modern aesthetics.
