Title: Modified Tesla Model S Plaid achieves blisteringly fast 8.56-second quarter-mile run
Post by: Redaktion on August 03, 2024, 17:55:12
A modified Tesla Model S Plaid with stripped down interiors has managed to speed through a quarter-mile run in just 8.56 seconds. Such speeds are unheard of in a production sedan, with the $2.2 million Pininfarina Battista being only slightly quicker at 8.55 seconds.

👉 I have the 2019 Model S Performance w/Ludacris & Ludacris +, & I  bet that if the Plaid adopted the Ludacris tech of simply drawing 60% + more power from the battery to generate the extra speed...it would easily WIN this race!

The factory Plaid has a 0-60 time of 1.9, using a 3rd motor, while the Ludacris +
(it's predecessor) does it in 2.28 w/2 motors, & getting it's extra power (60%+) by drawing it directly from the battery, although the factory  recommends not using for more than 3 hours at a time.

Nevertheless, a Plaid with its 3 motors along w/Ludacris + would DESTROY this!
I for one would LOVE to see something like this.
Maybe Tesla is saving this for the new Tesla Roadster  🤔

This time is probably not accurate, was recorded by an in car device, not the track's timing system.  Those devices are known to not be accurate.
