Farasis Energy just announced a breakthrough in battery tech, successfully testing cells designed to last a staggering million miles over 15 years. Numbers such as these exceed industry standards. The company's NCM chemistry and rigorous testing claims to deliver exceptional performance and longevity — something that commercial electric vehicles can greatly benefit from. These cells are already being mass-produced for high-end EVs.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Farasis-Energy-announces-successful-testing-of-ultra-durable-million-mile-EV-batteries-powering-Mercedes-Benz-EVs.865684.0.html
Back it up with a 15-year/1,000,000 mile warranty, and it won't be just a press release.
LTO exceeds 30k cycles. There should be more applications that use this technology.

LTO kinda has a rather low specific energy - 2x less than the NCM battery. But it would be ideal for hybrid cars. Likely price is the most limiting factor for their adoption.
LFP and NCM batteries were also extremely expensive, but volume production over time has brought the price down to 1/10th of what it was a few years ago.
