Title: Dell Inspiron 14 7445 2-in-1 convertible review: Transitioning from Ryzen-U to Ryzen-HS
Post by: Redaktion on June 24, 2024, 18:40:07
The Inspiron 14 7435 2-in-1 was equipped with Zen 3 Ryzen-U processors and so this year's Inspiron 14 7445 2-in-1 refresh was expected to ship with Zen 4 Ryzen-U options. Instead, Dell has thrown us a curve ball with even faster Zen 4 Ryzen-HS options for larger performance gains.

This article states that the 7840HS is Zen3+, when it is in fact Zen4.

Why is it so heavy? It's a 14" convertible. It doesn't even have a dGPU. Should be 1.2 kg tops.

How is one supposed to use a 1.7 kg tablet?

Hey Allen, just like the Inspiron 7640 review, didn't you check the performance profiles in the MyDell app?

Another disgrace from Dell:
The 8840HS has a default PL1 of 28W, not 20 as here, which already leads to at least a 20% loss in performance.

Despite the fact that the SoC has built-in 2 USB40 ports, greedy and stupid Dell did not bring a single one out!

Despite the fact that there are also 2 usb 3.2 gen 2 ports - she again cruelly limited the ports to the shameful 5Gbps, instead of the native 10.

And he wants to sell something like this with a shameful screen and a shameful 16GB of RAM for more than $1000?!

Well, the flag is in their hands...

Small arrow keys and a mirror with only 239.8 nits are an absolute disgrace. Not worth €300. We are not in the 1980s any more!

That horrible screen takes that cake for this incompetent Dell product.

Even a 150 euro tablet have better touch screen than this.

For people who are commenting the specs are poor and it's too heavy ?
Have you checked the price of the device and the specs it offers for that price ?

1) User replaceable RAM
2) AMD 8840HS with 780M GPU
3) HDMI port
4) Touchscreen

For $600 USD or $879 CAD this is the cheapest laptop in its category

Tell me one laptop it's price range which exceeds the performance and has a touch screen and non soldered ram. Fyi the screen is not dim, I own it and it's great and very useable.
