Fujifilm looks to be updating the X-T30 II with the X-T50 on May 16. If rumours are true, the latest budget Fujifilm X-T50 will be a compact powerhouse with a 40 MP sensor and IBIS, making it the first in its line-up to feature stabilisation.

That Fuji wil not give everything to the X-T50 as X-T5 like the CPU, misses the point and track record of Fuji with the X-Txx. Fuji has traditionally given the X-Txx key things like sensor, CPU indeed, and AF performance of the bigger X-Tx line.

They take cuts in number of SD cards, weather sealing, mechanical shutter top speed, battery life, etc.  But the sharing of CPU/sensor and AF shouldn't be surprising- it's exactly what they have done in the past for several models.
