I really don't understand why anyone would buy a new Lenovo when the screen resolution has regressed from UHD+/4K.
I just can't throw good money at 10 yr old screen resolutions.
I'm not in the market for a new laptop but if I were, I wouldn't buy the X1 Carbon Gen 12. They messed up the keyboard again with that useless copilot key and the position of the left Ctrl. If I buy a Thinkpad I want it to have a traditional Thinkpad keyboard, not a Yoga keyboard.

Come on men, there is an answer for that, battery life, not everyone is going to use their laptops at home or office, some people need mobility and that's one of the reasons why there is an OLED screen included as well.

Yes, this. And scaling. While being extremely small it is still usable to work with 2880x1800 at 100% scaling. At 150% it is effective size of 1920x1200 and that's nice.
It's impossible to do the same, scale at 100%, with 3840x2400 due to it being microscopic. Effective sharpness at 14" is basically the same between two resolutions unless one has to be 10 cm away from the screen.
The coupon SAVECARBON12 no longer works. Back to outrageous prices 😂
