The new M3 chips are here and there's a lot to digest. As Apple doesn't make a point of revealing the design origins of its chips, it can be an interesting exercise to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

It will be interesting to see what sort of performance the M3 yields, especially on the gaming side as Apple has started promoting the A17 Pro and M3's hardware raytracing abilities as gaming-capable.

Yet on the flip side, RE Village came out this week and it appears to run poorly on the iPhone 15 Pro/A17 Pro, worse than on a M1-powered iPad. This does not sound good.
