Title: AMD could entirely skip TSMC's 3 nm node for consumer processors according to leaked roadmap
Post by: Redaktion on April 28, 2023, 17:56:23
Industry sources cited by DigiTimes claim that all the upcoming Zen 5 processors would be manufactured on TSMC's 4 nm nodes, with the sole exception of the 2025 EPYC processors that will feature 3 nm silicon. Zen 6 is expected to jump directly to 2 nm.

We don't need so much power, we want a 1kg ultrabook with AMD ZEN 4 7040 Phoenix= DDR5 + RDNA 3 + USB 4.0 + HDMI 2.1 + artificial intelligence AI with that we have enough for 90% of the non-gamer population because with RDNA 3 + AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3.0. we will be able to perform in 3D, videos and play AAA games and make the most of artificial intelligence.
Ultrabook with AMD ZEN 4 7040 Phoenix with orange sticker not the red one that is chip from last year.

Expect very few models of laptops to carry the 7040U series this years. It seems like everyday an announcement for handhelds using he 7040U series is made. This is probably where AMD is focusing on and pushing the laptop market behind it.

What?? But AMD promised hundreds of 7040U notebook by the end of the year. (AMD also promised that the first of these notebooks would come out in March, which is very, very impressive: the very first invisible notebook!)
