New financial analysis claims that the government may have lowballed the 10-year cost of the green energy subsidies in the Inflation Reduction Act by a factor of three. Not only could the electric car tax credits be US$379 billion more than planned, but the battery production subsidies would pile US$196 billion more than the advertised spending.
