The 2021 Pavilion 13 is a huge leap over previous generations in almost every aspect. If you're looking to maximize performance, display quality, and portability without emptying your bank account, then the new Pavilion is looking like a top contender.

Review well appreciated, especially on the observation if coil whine is present on each machine. Please keep up the good work and this detailed observation for each review.
The Aero is on a 72-hour sale, my recommended config is $639 for:
white color (+$10 but includes backlit keyboard which costs $20 on the base silver)
16GB
2x2 Wi-Fi
QHD panel
256GB SSD (can always upgrade later to 2GB for ~$150)
Been researching more into this model, which seems less popular than it should be. Comparable to the M1 MacBook Air in performance at 70%the efficiency or run time, but 16GB beats 8GB any day, unified or not. Same 13.3 inch 16:10 display but NOT glossy, and Windows looks much better with ClearType, even if you pick the 1920x1200 panel. Fan sits idle most of the time, peaking for 10 to 15 seconds according to this review.
Box side panel says made by Wistron in Chongqing. What I cannot gather is whether it takes double-sided SSDs. From the pictures above, the 2020 model seems to have a dedicated cavity, while the 2021 model SSD rests on an unpopulated area above the PCB, so might be single sided only.
Does anyone know if 1600p screen is any good. I cannot find any info on it. If it has PWM or not?
