I have had PC Game Pass for many years and think it's a great value for gamers. But without other publishers making enough profits, those games won't be available to play. If Steam or another marketplace makes more sense for a particular game, then I have no issue with it not being on Game Pass.
What a weird article! It sounds like you hate Game Pass, but you're couching it as if you're just looking out for the game company. Why can't gamers have a good service?
Agreed. I was more focused on whether publishers are better off negotiating deals for Game Pass or using a traditional sales model on Steam and other marketplaces.
I get the point that was trying to be made, but at the end of the day, sales are better on playstation because they HAVE to buy it. If Indy was in PS+ the sales would be similar to xbox, relatively speaking of course...
The Indiana Jones and the Great Circle PS5 port is another cross-platform success. New sales data proves that PS5 versions of former Xbox exclusives can thrive. However, the numbers also suggest that not all Xbox Game Pass games need the subscription service to be profitable.
