I actually appreciate the mentioning of tamper sticker and proper warnings. They are indeed bitch. I am fine with taking things apart for things (usually) as simple as RAM replacement, but I would not do that if no service will be available and if it's not for myself but for say a family member. So 16gb model it is for me (even with the price hike)

The reviewer got distracted by the 8gb of ram, even though the machine is user upgradeable? Such configurations can be useful when your goal is to ultimately add your own ram. Why pay for more ram when you know you are going to immediately add your own. The tamper sticker is nothing out of the ordinary. When you get the laptop test it first thoroughly before going in. If you find a problem send it back. If not then you can start taking things apart, at your own risk of course. I am pissed because the reviewer let their own bias compromise the whole review. I wanted to see more exposition on the different performance profiles and the feel of the inputs. Very poor from the reviewer !!!!

MSI's least expensive 15.6-inch gaming laptop sports modern features like a 144 Hz IPS screen, GeForce RTX 4050 graphics, and a Core-H series processor. However, you'll want to avoid certain SKUs especially those with just 8 GB of RAM.
