Carbon offset credits are a joke. Most of them are either fake, like the ones described in this article. Others are oversold to many buyers. Some are sold repeatedly each year even if the land was bought outright for conservation.
It is just a cheap way for companies to buy out of the carbon problem. They know those are fake, they just care that they can get them for cheap and then put out those lofty claims.
There should be more of these lawsuits.
