That's right, blame everybody but the culprit, Nvidia.

They're too ensconced with satisfying AI corpos to care about producing gaming products. They can pump out every single card Microsoft, Meta, Anthropic, and OpenAI need but they can't ship more than a couple thousand 5xxx series cards?

AMD needs to step up with a real solution, now. Nvidia has all but abandoned the gaming market with paper launches and zero product.

all this scarcity talk about the 5090/5080 feels like fake news. have a hard time believing people desperately want these cards when the 4090 is still damn good

What evidence do you have for "overwhelming demand" other than a retailer's PR? Without actual numbers, there is no evidence.

Folks familiar with gaming hardware launches had presumably foreseen inevitable supply shortages for Nvidia's RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 gaming GPUs. However, the reality of the aforementioned shortages appears to be worse than anyone thought, considering that gamers in the UK may have to wait for several weeks, or even months, before being able to purchase a brand-new Blackwell GPU.
