Tokyo Xtreme Racer and Need For Speed are two different styles of racing. One is done in a way that is unique to Japan, especially from the 80's to the 90's.
The other is just the fast and the furious but with more flash.
While the two are unique and may have "some" similarities, to say Tokyo Xtreme Racer has the spirit of Need For Speed, in a way, removes it's own unique style. Especially when you take into account the list of games that are in both series....they are vastly different.
This....is not a good title. Personal opinion, Tokyo Xtreme Racer is better. It's strictly about racing on the Wangan (Like how the actual Midnight Club did). While Need For Speed Underground 2 is a bombastic racing game that is more like going to a 2000's rave.
Always remember that Tokyo Xtreme Racer did this level of customization years before the first NFS Underground, let alone Underground 2 (which came out a half-decade after TXR)
