Quote from: Founder on January 23, 2025, 19:11:18Lmao. Yeah, right.

So lemme get this straight, was the recent layoffs by AMD, the majority of which were from the gaming division, like people working on optimizing the Direct3D driver stack also part of this grand 4D chess move scheme of theirs? Moving literally all their engineers to focus on AI instead? Is that not the definition of "obsessing over Nvidia"?

Bunch of clowns. Tired of this going on for 15 straight years. You can no longer put the blame on some individual departments like marketing or engineering anymore. Heck, this is a bigger issue than middle management even. This is leadership level incompetency.
Well you really don't know how strategy work do you? How did Amd beat Intel? They played for time. They played catch up and look at them now, Intel is the one playing catch up. If you are willing to pay 2k for a gpu, go for it.

The 4090 is 45k here, the 4080 is 26k and the 7900xtc 19.2k. If you care about raytracing the 4080 is a better choice than the 4090. I like dlss but if you don't care about those 2 features then the 7900xtx, price to performances makes a lot more sense. Amd do not have to beat them in performances but in price. True fan boys won't understand this. It is like someone with an Xbox claims it is cheap then Pc but manufactures sell at a loss because make their money on overpriced software and Pc outlast a console by far...

After revealing some initial information at CES 2025, AMD is officially releasing the RX 9000 RDNA 4 GPUs in March 2025. Possible reasons for AMD pushing RDNA 4 release date to March have now emerged online. It seems Team Red is fundamentally shifting how it handles Radeon product launches.
