Bizarre statements. Are you implying that casual childlike games are exclusive to Nintendo and do not exist on other platforms? Or that kids can't enjoy "adult" games too.

Quake is rated M for mature 17+ by ESRB, yet I was playing it at age 4 and having a pretty damn good time.

I would dare say that PC & Nintendo stuff have always been a solid combo. Even the most hardcore PC gamers will agree that owning a Nintendo device can be useful when having kids over or some more casual friends.

Agreed on both accounts.

While the general rule of thumb is that releases that are compatible with the Switch will dry up over the next 1-2yrs after the release of the Switch2, the Switch along with the large catalog of games that run on it is still a viable/usable platform.

IMHO: folks own a Nintendo device for the exclusives

Currently a Steam Deck is the lowest price/entry point into non-Nintendo gaming (be it portable or otherwise) so I'd expect it to be fairly common for people to have ether a PC/Xbox/PS and a Nintendo.

Which one is 'primary' or they got first is anyone's guess.

The 2025 Game Developers Conference (GDC) State of the Gaming Industry report has been released, and it contains some positive details for both PC gamers and those keenly awaiting the Nintendo Switch 2. The results of a survey of game developers seem to imply that the Valve Steam Deck will certainly not struggle in terms of support despite the upcoming release from the Big N.
