The mini is definitely way more pocketable than 5, but 5 is still quite small to be fair. To give simple answer, it's preference , the mini is smaller and screen ratio is perfect for PS2, PS1, GameCube, Dreamcast. Of course you can have just black bars on rp5 but for some people that's a bit jaring and again makes whole device wider than needs to be for these systems. The android being 10 rather than 13 does not have much difference and in some aspects might be preferable for these older systems, it was not a random decision for the more "retro focused" system to have android 10 rather than 13.

What exactly is the point of the Mini when you could get the regular size Pocket 5 for $20 more and have Android 13 from the beginning. It's not the like the Mini is that much more portable.

Can you tell us what the bugs are?  I updated it yesterday and it works fine.  Tested connecting to my TV, and portable USB C monitor now issues.  Also I just played some Switch EMU nothing to report.  So please tell us if there's bugs what are they?  Nobody is saying anything about what these bugs are 🤣

Retroid has now published an Android 13 update for the Pocket Mini. Although the device theoretically now runs the same software as the larger Pocket 5, early reports point to a myriad of issues.
